A horde of decaying zombies invaded San Francisco’s downtown Apple store on Friday evening, hunting for brains, terrifying the customers, and gnawing on iMacs. Thats why I don’t like macs. They attract the zombies.

Now that Apple’s lawyers have scared the pants off of small entrepreneurs selling products like the Profit Pod and TightPod — items that have nothing to with portable audio in any way, mind you — it seems that the next targets are companies that have the audacity to use the word “podcast” in their names.
“Apple has issued a cease and desist to Podcast Ready, claiming that the terms “Podcast Ready” and “myPodder” infringe on Apple’s trademarks, and that they cause confusion among consumers. Wired notes that Apple has been cracking down on use of the word “pod” by lots of different people.”
Apple has begun publishing tech support documents to address some reported bugs in iTunes 7. Now if they would only fix the issue that it takes me over 1 1/2 hours to update and that most of my music wont play in iTunes and that most of my videos, including ones from the iTunes store, wont copy over to my iPod, I’ll be happy.

Apple maintains records of stolen iPod serial numbers. Apple’s iTunes software records the serial number of the last connected iPod. Apple sells songs to people that enter their billing information into the iTunes software. So why isn’t Apple doing anything to prevent the sale of songs to the person with your stolen iPod?
