New Firefox P2P extension

A new extension for the Mozilla Firefox browser allows you to use the power of Bittorrent with the security of an FTP server where you can determine ahead of time what and with whom files are shared. Instead of maxing out your upload, this system supposedly has no limit depending on how many people you are sharing with. The extension called Allpeers has an easy-to-use “drag and share” feature that makes it useful for sharing files from person to person. Also instead of needing a tracker for individual files you can track whole directories that you share.
Anonymity is key nowadays when it comes to sharing files, Allpeers avoids public swarms like ones from Torrentspy (accused of spying on users and devering the data to the MPAA) making it alot harder to get caught by the authorities. You can even create a private communithy of friends with whom you can choose to share for files with.

Allpeers is still in it’s beta but the final release will be coming soon so keep your eyes peeled if you are big on bittorrent.
