Hitachi Global Storage Technologies plans to announce Monday it has developed technology that will quadruple the storage capacity of desktop hard drives within the next two years, while laptop storage could reach 1TB.

Terabyte hard drives before the end of 2006!

Hitachi is set to release hard drives with 1 TB of space before the end of 2006. While I most likely wont be able to afford these 1 TB drives, this should help reduce the price of the smaller drives so I can upgrade my current drives.
