In a huge win for both medical imaging and BitTorrent, 20Mbps symmetrical connections are now available over Verizon’s fiber optic FiOS network. The new $64.95 service may put additional heat on cable companies to offer faster upload speeds.

Verizon drops 3.14% of all DSL subscribers DNS requests! CNET just rehashed a report that Nominum commissioned to look at the speed and reliability of ISP DNS servers. The verdict won’t shock any of you: ISPs are pretty bad at providing DNS!
